Death Café and Samhain Discussion! Enjoy some fall flavored treats, warm cider, and coffee as we discuss the connections between death and all hallows eve; From superstitions & the occult, to the use of turnips as Jack-o'-lanterns.
The Death Café was born in England in 2011, “to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.” Since then, Death Cafés have become a worldwide movement where people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death, dying, and facing our own mortality.
Death doulas to funeral directors to grief counselors have attended, as well as every day people. They are for everyone, spiritual or not. We all face death in our waking lives. From losing a pet. A grandparent. A child. Join us for a safe space to grieve, talk, cry, laugh, or just sit in silence and listen. No judgement. Because in the end, talking about death won't kill you. Free coffee, cake, and treats provided.
